JOIN OUR TEAM

We're looking for a Copywriter to join NextCapital's Marketing team. As Copywriter, you will be responsible for creating content to amplify NextCapital’s message to clients, partners, and prospects across various audiences. You will write a variety of communication types including emails, one-pagers, FAQs, social media posts, website copy and support our advice research team by editing whitepapers. In collaboration with stakeholders in Product, Sales, Operations, and Legal and Compliance, you will craft messaging that is customer-centric, unique, and encourages audience engagement. The ideal candidate has experience in the defined contribution space, is great at creating and delivering content, and communicates complex ideas in a concise and accessible manner.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Collaborate with relationship managers, product teams, business leaders, and subject matter experts to conceptualize and execute content that supports our business objectives.
  • Break down, understand, and translate complex financial topics into digestible pieces that speak to our target audiences.
  • Partner with key individuals across the organization to leverage their research and re-package for different channels.
  • Partner with stakeholders and management to write and finalize internal communications
  • Draft copy for email campaigns, social posts, blog articles, client communications, training scripts, and other content as needed
  • Support the firm’s content strategy goals through innovative editorial approaches
  • Copy edit and proofread print and digital content to ensure accuracy and clarity
  • Partner with the Channel Marketing Manager to align on timelines to ensure quarterly roadmaps stays on track.
  • Support the evolution of existing brand guidelines, including tone and voice, to promote consistent a brand presence

Requirements

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • At least 3-6 years of experience in the FinTech and/or finance space marketing to plan advisors, asset managers, recordkeepers, and plan sponsors.
  • Experience with the direct contribution retirement industry and digital retirement solutions
  • You have a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong multi-tasking capabilities and can easily adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Balance multiple time-sensitive inquiries with long-term projects, while keeping track of shifting priorities across the business.
  • Ability to craft succinct and precise content, while catering your level of specificity and language to the medium and audience.
  • Naturally curious with an appetite to serve as a subject matter expert on our technology, market presence, and the financial planning industry.
  • Make real-time, independent decisions when conditions change based on a strong understanding of the business and technical context.
  • Ability to apply best practices and create new internal processes to efficiently and effectively organize content into resources that can be understood and leveraged by others.
