Content Manager
The SimplyBe. Agency Content Manager will be responsible for producing, managing and overseeing all content development, content strategy and content management for the clients of SBA, as well as the SBA brand itself. The Content Manager will be responsible for copywriting, editing and overseeing the day-to-day execution of all content creation across all client accounts, and across various mediums (blogs, video, social media, press releases and newsletters). The Content Manager will be responsible for ghostwriting key blogs for key client accounts, while overseeing a small team of ghostwriters to support further content creation and collaboration. He or she will be expected to bring innovation, authenticity and creativity to the table for the voices and brand identities of our clients, as well as to that of the SBA brand.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for creating and managing all content for all client accounts
Leads the development of blogs (long form and short form), video plot lines and scripts, newsletters, invites and PR pitches
Manage incoming ghostwriters and will assign all appropriate blogs and deadlines
Editing of all social media dashboards, pitches, blogs, newsletters and invites developed by the ghostwriting team
Strategically creates and refines our content process and road maps for clients, as well as for the SBA brand
Lead the development of all Editorial Calendars for client accounts as well as the SBA brand
Strategize on blog topic / video topic / podcast topic creation for specific client accounts
Responsible for leading and establishing the client “Holograms”—also known as their brand identity positioning
Ideate on strategy, execution and best practices for the ongoing brand management of the SBA clients
Create and curate new workshop and seminar materials in partnership with the CEO
ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS:
Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content across all client accounts and SBA.
Map out content strategies that supports and extends marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term, determining which methods work for the clients and why. Continuous evolvement of strategy is a must.
Be an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style.
Establish workflow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content. Work with Project Manager to optimize workflow in Basecamp.
Work closely with company’s Creative Director on all creative and branding initiatives to ensure a consistent messaging within all client accounts.
Work closely with company’s Communications Manager on PR/media pitching to remain in alignment with client voice and objectives.
Content Manager Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, english, or related field
5-7 years experience writing for a large agency or corporation
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs
Familiarity with keyword placement and SEO
Extensive knowledge of the company, brand, and product preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
