As a Culinary Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for bringing recipes to life in the production environment. Working primarily in our production facility, you will test recipes/formulas, establish and document processes, train the front line team, and oversee quality of all new product launches.You will play a key role in bridging the gap between recipe development and daily operations. Sitting on the Commercialization Team, you will help set quality standards, provide quality assurance support and create best practices for food manufacturing processes.

As a Culinary Operations Specialist, you will:

  • Work with our R&D team to determine the process flows for new ingredients and subrecipes through processing and assembly rooms
  • Work closely with Production and Quality/Food Safety teams to verify food is manufactured to specifications, and work with these teams to mitigate menu quality issues
  • Execute commercialization activities including, but not limited to, yield measurements, portion tool validation, assembly labor trials
  • Respond to manufacturing issues as they arise and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Provide technical support to Production, Sourcing and R&D in manufacturing of products that meet customer and consumer expectation for character, cost, and quality
  • Support cost reduction efforts by investigating high waste processes, understanding root causes, and proposing process improvements 

What Your Background May Look Like:

  • A degree in culinary, operations, food science or related field. BA/BS preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ in a food industry (restaurant, catering, recipe development, manufacturing)
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs,  Slides)
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, are critical for this role.
  • Must have effective attention-to-detail and a keen eye for accuracy.
  • Must have a passion for food, and a hunger to learn and grow in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment

  • Flexible and Available. You’re willing to work odd hours when needed. We are a 24-7 operation and developing/managing aspects of our system may sometimes mean working outside the typical 9-5.
