The VelocityEHS Knowledgebase Administrator/Trainer I (KA/T I) is primarily responsible for the creation and maintenance of both customer and internal facing on-demand training materials, including videos and scripts. The KA/T I works with the Manager of Knowledge Management and Training (MKM/T) to maintain and support relationships with subject matter experts throughout VelocityEHS, assists with reviews and tests of new and revised curriculum offerings from other team members, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement and contributes to new curriculum or program ideas. Additionally, the KA/T I works with the MKM/T to ensure that knowledgebase materials are current, accurate and up-to-date.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:

  • Creates both customer and internal facing on-demand training materials with minimal technical supervision using graphic design, image editing, and document formatting skills and tools while adhering to brand standards
  • Assist with on-going training specific to VelocityEHS products for Customer Care & Operations staff
  • Assist with one-on-one or group trainings to Customer Care & Operations staff
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously, working with the MKM/T to set project scope, priorities, deadlines, schedules
  • Participates in the needs assessment, design and development of training roadmaps
  • Assist with the management and tracking of training materials and videos created in order to ensure they stay accurate and up-to-date
  • Assist MKM/T in planning and scoping requirements for training and/or knowledge articles
  • Assists the MKM/T with ensuring knowledgebase materials are current, accurate and up-to-date
  • Assists with updating, creating, and/or recommending current or new tools for the document and course library;
  • Consistently reviews MSDSonline/VelocityEHS product functionality and enhancements to ensure retention of product knowledge
  • Other duties as assigned

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of related professional experience. This experience would preferably have demonstrated accomplishments in a training role.
  • Ability to independently transform raw content and data received from subject matter experts into learning and training content
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Strong attention to details, policies and procedures with the ability to identify and recommend improvement opportunities
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator) or other graphic design tools
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 2003-2010 products (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.) and Adobe (PDF) documents
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust with colleagues and customers
  • Passionate about his/her work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Training content creation experience
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience with web conferencing software and applications
  • Experience in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment
  • Experience using KB and/or Training software is preferred
