We’re looking for a Staff Writer, Branded Content
As a Staff Writer for branded content, you will be joining our creative team, which is composed of writers, editors, designers, strategists and UX experts collaborating each day to develop high-quality content about the tech and startup communities we support. We are looking for someone who is a startup lovin’, analytical, tech-crazy writer with a fresh voice and style. The writer in this position will work from our Chicago Loop headquarters, covering employer branding (paid) content for customers across all of Built In’s markets.
How you’ll contribute:
- Collaborate with our creative/content, customer success and account management teams to develop compelling content for Built In customers across all seven of our markets.
- Develop a content strategy for Built In customers designed to drive recruitment and brand awareness results.
- Manage a pipeline of employer branding products to ensure content is produced within project timelines.
- Drive results for Built In customers by working to optimize content product performance and distribution.
Content Creation and Curation
Produce at least 4-5 tech-focused employer branding (paid) stories per week. You’ll be responsible for adhering to project timelines, often working directly with tech employees at Built In premium employer companies to produce meaningful and compelling content. Most of our stories are between 800 and 1500 words, but some of our pieces can run longer. You may also be responsible for distributing articles through organic social media.
Deadlines
Create and quickly produce error-free articles multiple times a week.
What you need
- You should have 5 to 7 years of writing experience and have a proven track record of producing multiple projects for a variety of customers within the same week.
- You should have experience developing strategic articles designed to drive conversions or support customer brands.
- You should be a digital native, capable of managing social media channels to drive organic growth and support the tech community.
- Previous experience writing for a tech publication and managing customer relationships from a creative perspective preferred.
