Manager, IT Support
The Role
Green Thumb is looking for a Manager, IT Support to play a key role on our growing technology team. The primary responsibility will be to proactively own the relationship between our outsourced help desk vendor and Green Thumb and to manage a team of six, regionally located. You will also be responsible for partnering with various business units in the delivery of IT related projects for our corporate and field locations. The Manager, IT Support will ensure timeliness, quality of support, assist with technical project management and strategy, be an escalation point and look for opportunities to improve the business. We are a fast-paced company in the process of scaling and the Manager, IT will be expected to work quickly and effectively, while balancing multiple priorities and provide technical assistance to the Green Thumb with a customer-serviced mentality.
Responsibilities
- Maintain relationship with outsourced IT firm through weekly review meetings and tracking of internal employee satisfaction
- Act as a gatekeeper and escalation point between employees, internal Technology team and the outsourced firm
- Maintain documentation pertaining to IT help desk vendor
- Act as first point of contact to Executive and Senior leadership team members on IT or Help Desk issues
- Source all IT equipment, including negotiation of purchases and contracts totaling in ~$1 million
- Monitor & forecast employee equipment needs up to 4 months in advance
- Sync activities and share experience with a diverse team
- Some travel required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in progressive enterprise IT function with a focus on help desk, 3+ years in supervisory or management role
- 2+ years of operating with IT governance framework compliant with Sarbanes Oxley
- Strong understanding of ITIL Framework
- Proven background in supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure, technologies and applications
- Understand IT fundamentals including Active Directory, Office365, Virtualization, Networking, Telephony
- Strong project management experience in application rollouts, network remediation, and facility openings
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness
- Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment
- Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
- Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb

- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
