Job Description  

As Cloud Security Architect, you will part of the Cybersecurity Architecture Team focused on helping design, implement and mature innovative and cutting edge security capabilities and build-in practical security in cloud initiatives. The Cybersecurity Architecture Team champions secure by design principles into our initiatives, provides hands on technical leadership for security domains, assists with defining vision and execution of strategy and is expected to help solve wide range of security challenges. The Cybersecurity Architecture Team is part of highly collaborative Cybersecurity program and an engineering culture driven technology organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Be integral in ensuring security is designed and integrated into cloud services, aligning business needs with technology and doing so in a manner which ensures security is built-in
  • Identify use cases for technical capabilities, lead and conduct hands-on evaluations and develop value proposition for new security products and services
  • Strive to be subject matter expert in cloud security domain and the technologies/products used to secure cloud (IaaS and PaaS) environments
  • Be strong proponent and practitioner of automation and secure infrastructure as code practices.
  • Work closely with Cybersecurity Product leadership, Engineers, and consumers of security capabilities to identity risks, define and design tactical and strategic risk mitigation plans and prioritize execution of these accordingly
  • Partners with Cybersecurity, Enterprise, Technical and Application Architects to champion secure by design principles and help deliver secure and reliable solutions and is relentless in challenging status-quo and maturing our cloud security posture
  • Build current state and future state reference architectures, solution patterns, security roadmaps and capability maturity models
  • Acts as the principal advisor to upper management in Cybersecurity matters, and protection, detection and threat prevention capabilities. Creates Cybersecurity architecture strategy in alignment with business and technology objectives.
  • Researches, designs and integrates new cybersecurity solutions, and determine scope, legal and criticality impact in the environment
  • Validates and certifies current and future state architectural models to assess potential impact across all enterprise systems.
  • Works closely with management and the engineering groups to define the strategic direction of the department and promote resilient engineering and data analytics practices
  • Oversees Cybersecurity engineering projects, initiatives and analytics to ensure complete and timely delivery of key department objectives .
  • Provides guidance and advocacy regarding project prioritization and technology investment direction for Cybersecurity.

  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with management, peers, project managers and internal customers.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of engineering next-gen designs, and security trends and threats. Prepares reports, technical presentation and analytics visualization for management decision-making. Resolves and remediates security issues and/or vulnerabilities. Ensure compliance to audit, regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Sets direction, organizes and enable collaboration across cross-functional departments. Provides strong leadership and direction to team members. Coaches and mentors other professional staff members.

     

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information security, information technology, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in information security or related field
  • In Lieu of Education, 10 + years of experience in information security or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in designing and engineering innovative and effective cloud security solutions across various layers such as IAM, Compute, Network, Application and Data in AWS (GCP a plus)
  • Proficient in leveraging best practices such as AWS Well-Architected Framework and other industry frameworks and benchmarks such as CSA-CCM and CIS to assess and mature security posture
  • Can demonstrate good understanding of securing Kubernetes
  • Proficient in threat modeling and applying relevant cloud native and/or cloud based controls for cloud based services
  • Experience or demonstrated knowledge of Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) capabilities
  • Has experience working in DevOps environment, leveraging CI/CD tools, has automation first mindset with the skills to script/code if necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written negotiation skills including the ability to author and present materials ranging from detailed technical specifications, roadmaps and other informative presentations
  • Curious by nature, demonstrates ability to learn new skills, keeps pace with evolving threat landscape as well as new technology trends and practices
