As a QA Engineer with expertise in SQL, Power BI Dashboards you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with our development and testing teams to design, execute, and automate tests that validate the functionality, performance, and integrity of our Reports and Data.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
-Identify data quality issues and their root causes. Propose fixes and design data audits.
-Design and implement data quality reporting to monitor existing quality and communicate trends.
-Apply engineering best practices in order to analyze, design, develop, deploy and support software solutions.
-Develop data quality processes and tests using continuous Deployment and integration practices.
-Participate in an Agile implementation and maintenance of source control and release procedures.
-Participate in Code Reviews and feedback to the team
-Explain technical solutions to technical teams.
-Contribute to a collaborative work environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree
-At least 2 years of professional software engineering, debugging, analysis, and software documentation experience.
-Code Knowledge: Python, SQL.
-Experience with Agile methodologies/DevOps environment.
-Intermediate understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
-Intermediate understanding of Data Quality and Data Concepts.
-Basic understanding of Data Integration Patterns and Tooling including ELT/ETL, EII, Replication, Event Streaming, and Virtualization to support batch and real-time data needs.
-Has or develops understanding of 2-4 subject areas/domains of data.
-Self-motivated and able to independently execute a plan.
-Intermediate programming skills.
-Seeks to apply Software and Quality Standards.
-Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation Range:
Pay Range - Start:
$82,670.00
Pay Range - End:
$153,530.00
Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Please note that the salary range listed in the posting is the standard pay structure. Positions in certain locations (such as California) may provide an increase on the standard pay structure based on the location.
