JOB SUMMARY:
CreditNinja is seeking a Compliance Data Analyst who will report to the Manager of Compliance Monitoring and Testing. This position will be based at CreditNinja headquarters in Chicago, IL, or can be located in our Miami, FL office, or remote work may also be considered. This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join a well-capitalizedp on the ground floor and help drive our success. As the Compliance Data Analyst, you will develop a deep understanding of the processes that CreditNinja has in place to meet its regulatory obligations. You will be responsible for identifying any gaps in compliance testing and to write checks to fill those gaps.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Partner with cross functional teams including Compliance, Product Management, Engineering, Finance and Operations to design a robust reporting and analytics system• Monitor compliance exception testing on a daily basis and report any findings to relevant department heads• Understand underwriting system and coding methodology in order to identify dependencies in the system for purposes of designing compliance testing.• Attend change management meetings and identify and write compliance requirements for product enhancements and changes.• Become familiar and conversant with database so as to write relevant queries to identify compliance exceptions• Maintain and enhance compliance exception testing queries and implement relevant reporting• Work with QA team to ensure adequate compliance testing• Pull data upon request through SQL queries for legal and compliance audits and examinations.
Experience: • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineer, Mathematics or similar required (masters degree is a plus)• 3+ years of relevant experience:• Candidate should be a SQL expert; must be able to optimize queries and join datasets efficiently and familiarity with a variety of databases• Strong project management and organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment. Ability to analyze and quickly understand processes in order to appropriately determine whether objectives and goals have been met• Ability to multi-task effortlessly and manage competing priorities under demanding deadlines• Drive to provide accurate results as quickly as possible and continuously iterate
