The Role:

We are looking for a talented Director for our Business Analytics department to lead a team focused on Originations, Portfolio and Marketing Analytics for Braviant’s consumer lending businesses. This individual will have the opportunity to focus our current business analytics practices in a more strategic direction to enable opportunity growth. You’ll help build and lead a team to manage analytics and KPI monitoring that better supports our business team’s data decision making and prediction methods. 

What you'll be doing:

• Develop and implement predictive analytics, forecasting capabilities and other advanced analytics techniques and processes that help Braviant make better data-driven decisions.
• Optimize business analytics resource prioritization across product and marketing channels.
• Build out data driven tools to better inform business analytics strategy and resource allocation effectiveness.
• Build on the existing Analytics infrastructure to support continuous testing / optimization and streamlined implementation of new underwriting models and strategies.
• Lead a team of business analysts responsible for analysis, monitoring, strategy optimization, and business requirements for predictive models across product and marketing.
• Partner with Finance, Product and Business Intelligence teams to establish target KPIs (e.g., approval rates, funding rates, and loan terms), forecast loan losses, and explain any variance in actual vs. projected results.

What you'll bring:

• 10+ years of experience leading a team of business analysts / predictive modelers in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of best practices in many of the following: Credit Risk, Originations, Traditional Customer Acquisition and Digital Customer Acquisition, Loss Forecasting and Portfolio Management for unsecured consumer lending products
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and develop pragmatic solutions under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with (and ideally proficiency in) SQL, R and Python, Looker.
• Relationship builder who can establish trust, confidence and credibility with peers, senior leaders, and direct reports.
• A bachelor’s degree in an analytical field.

• 3+ years of unsecured lending experience
• Track record of recruiting and developing Analytical talent; comfortable with coaching and performance management.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high growth startup.
