Farmer’s Fridge is on a mission to make it simple for everyone to eat well. We serve healthy, handcrafted meals and snacks from our growing network of 400+ Smart Fridges (software-enabled vending machines). We are striving to change the food system from the ground up – one Fridge or delivery at a time.

We are a team that cares -– about the business, the impact our product makes, and each other. We are data-driven, innovative, and quick to move on a good idea. We are looking for people who want to collaborate in an entrepreneurial, inclusive culture and have a passion to succeed.

We are in the early stages of building the merchandising practice at Farmer’s Fridge and we have a lot of exciting initiatives underway. We’re looking to add an experienced Planner to the Merchandising team who is curious, analytical and takes initiative. You will be the 2nd hire in the department, which will effectively double our firepower to execute merchandising strategies. You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves to solve a problem, learn by failure and balance agile decision making with thoughtful analysis. We are a highly collaborative department that interfaces with nearly all teams across the organization (menu/operations, sales, marketing, insights, technology) with a common goal of driving customer trials and increasing customer lifetime value across the channels we serve.

The merchandising mantra is to get the right products, at the right place, at the right time, for the right price. Our goal at Farmer’s Fridge is to do this well at hundreds of thousands of locations, across millions of transactions while delivering automated and actionable insights to improve the experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive product performance recaps and provide actionable insights and recommendations to influence product lifecycle decisions by category and channel
  • Evaluate weekly performance of 3rd Party Retail partners, make inventory management recommendations that meet partner goals and own weekly order generation process
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to inform and support merchandising priorities and projects
  • Build and leverage models and tools for assortment planning and product investment scenarios that ladder to category / channel goals
  • Manage Fridge planograms and drive segmentation strategies that optimize fridge performance. Partner with cross functional teams to manage planogram changes and updates
  • Partner with Marketing to drive omnichannel product marketing via creative, content and promotions that support campaign or channel goals

What Your Background Might Look Like:

  • 3+ years of Merchandise buying and planning experience in the retail or food industry preferred. Operations experience a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience building models, tools and processes from scratch and adapting them to scale with the business
  • Flexible and resilient working with limited resources, ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Strong ability to develop and pivot business strategies by applying quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Curious and data driven. Enjoys solving complex problems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills. Deliver timely and impactful information to stakeholders and/or cross functional teams to guide decision making
  • Collaborative spirit and builds relationships with cross-functional partners
