Senior Analytics Executive
Job Description
ABOUT THIS JOB
You will MAKE A DIFFERENCE by helping one of the largest retailers in the UK make the right choices for their growth strategies. You will partner with our clients and use data to explain what is happening within the wider market, how they can adapt to macro and micro developments in our industry and what they should do to improve business performance. Simply put, you will transform data into compelling stories. Working with your Nielsen colleagues and spending time with your client, you will build partnerships that allow you to better understand your clients’ business priorities and information needs. You'll use this knowledge to develop in-depth analytics and create insights to drive business growth.
The Nielsen team provides detailed analysis across Consumer Panel and Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS / RMS) data. It provides an opportunity to demonstrate and develop a mix of skills in analytics, project management and client engagement in an exciting role to help drive the strategy and performance of a large UK retailer.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Analytics
Help shape client research questions by understanding what the business needs are behind questions and what actions will be taken as a result
Identify the appropriate data sources and tools to best answer research questions, ensuring you judge when the solution is ‘good enough’ versus ‘bells and whistles depending on a given situation
Analyze and present findings to key stakeholders within given deadlines, coordinating closely with other members of the client services team to divide work when appropriate
Constantly building on our data capabilities by finding different ways of using existing data or tapping into ‘hidden’ data that may not have previously been used for insight
Team
Coordinate between Nielsen departments and client stakeholders to ensure that developments are identified and implemented efficiently and smoothly
Always looking for better and more efficient Ways of Working across the team
Sharing best practice across the organization and bring a prominent voice in our insight community
Take an active role in the coaching and upskilling of junior members of the team
Client Engagement
Create and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders
Confidently talk about our data and advise on where and how we can best add value through our analysis
Role Requirements
Experienced in an analytical/Insights function
Able to function independently and in a team environment
Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
Expert interpersonal skills and oral / written communication skills
Project management: good organizational and time management skills
Preferred but not essential: Experience using Consumer Panel
The role can be located in Oxford or London.
