We are looking for a Senior Google Analytics Consultant with a broad knowledge of the digital marketing analytics space from current industry trends to technical expertise, including how to build and customize analytics and tag manager implementations for sites and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will lead project teams and will become (if not already) one of the top-100 digital analytics experts in the world!
Role and Responsibilities
- Strategize, plan, and implement mobile analytics tracking for Google Analytics and Google Analytics 4
- Write implementation specs, and work with internal or client developers on execution and QA, accurately read and interpret reports
- Audit existing mobile analytics implementations to identify gaps and recommend solutions to enhance data collection, promote scalability, and drive best practices
- Demonstrate a grasp of the fundamental importance of clean data to empower successful digital marketing initiatives, in support of larger business objectives, within the mobile landscape
- Seek opportunities to clarify what solution is needed (not just what was requested), and develop and propose alternative technical approaches where appropriate
- Exemplify good technical skills, stay up-to-date with industry changes, and share expertise freely; serve as subject matter expert for mobile analytics implementation
- Volunteer suggestions for team improvement with regard to developing technical expertise, and help drive these efforts; mentor junior team members
- Actively contribute to the greater community by participating in meet-ups, conferences, blogs, open forums, or open source initiatives
- Adapt to a fast-paced work environment and have the ability to overcome technical and business challenges
- Demonstrate high intellectual bandwidth, as well an ability to prioritize and work on the right things at the right time
- Articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, both in speech and writing; understand the audience and tailor messages accordingly
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree and at least 4 years' experience with mobile platforms like Google Firebase or mParticle, familiar with iOS and Android SDKs, other app development experience a plus
- Experience with Google Analytics and Google Analytics 4, and has implemented customized tracking for same
- Has deployed analytics through Google Tag Manager or other tag management tools
- Familiar with the mobile marketing landscape and channels used for app marketing, including: search, social, email, SMS, push, and others
- Experience with multiple ways to access mobile analytics data, e.g. APIs, SQL, Python, etc.
- Comfortable with Google AppScript, SuperMetrics, other spreadsheet tools
- Familiar with database and data warehouse platforms, e.g. Google BigQuery and others
- Familiar with marketing automation and CRM systems, e.g. Salesforce, Pardot, and others
- Experience writing JavaScript
- Experience using browser developer tools and extensions for debugging and validating analytics tracking
