What you get to do:
OppLoans' Strategy & Operations team is excited to recruit an analytics leader to guide customer journey enhancement and operation optimization, and help build team capabilities for advanced analytics to support OppLoans' profitable growth.
- Report to VP, Strategy & Operations
- Lead important operational metrics analytics, e.g., sales/collection funnel and campaign measurements, customer segmentation, omni-channel effectiveness and Goal/demand forecasting, with use of many predictive modeling and machine learning techniques
- Identify trends, opportunities and help develop project roadmap, setting priorities, and facilitating changes to guide impact
- Guide large-scale projects E2E with advanced analytics tools, and manage the discovery, develop machine learning models
- Improve standards for machine learning practices (e.g., model selection, accuracy, and efficiency), and help grow advanced analytics capabilities, tooling and culture, and share best practices across the team
- Promote and ensure data quality (incl. 3rd party data) throughout all stages of acquisition and processing, such as such areas as data collection, normalization, transformation, advocating, and visualization
- Work with teams (e.g., operations, credit, marketing, compliance, product, tech) to support and expand machine learning algorithms on big data platform to solve a variety of business problems and new programs
- Potential to lead a team of 1-3 associates/analysts, and develop other junior team members on Strategy & Ops team
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative fields (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering), Master's degree
- 5+ years of relevant experience in an advanced analytics role in Financial Service sector and consulting
- Experience in operational research and machine learning use case identification, prioritization, model development, validation, deployment and value capture
- Proficiency in common analytics and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python/R) and ML modeling techniques
- Working knowledge in modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS), data modeling and AI environments (e.g., DataRobot, Alteryx, Matlab), data reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Sisense Periscope, PowerBI, Tableau), data acquisition and management best practices
- Agile project lifecycle management
