Position Overview:
The Senior Privacy Technology Analyst contributes to the success of Paylocity's privacy program by identifying, assessing, and developing solutions to reduce privacy risks as part of a comprehensive and growing privacy program. Reporting to the Head of Data Privacy, this role will work closely with internal stakeholders from across the organization to champion consistent and effective data privacy practices, while minimizing privacy risk and ensuring the protection of personal information.
Reports To: Head of Data Privacy
Responsibilities:

  • Be the privacy by design champion for the organization by developing and implementing training, creating resources, and guidance to team members on privacy engineering frameworks
  • Serving as a point of contact for the implementation and maintenance of technical solutions for addressing privacy risks and ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Develop and execute privacy by design assessments (e.g., privacy impact assessments) to ensure new and existing products, technologies and solutions are assessed for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Develop process and systems for tracking and communicating identified privacy risks and project status to stakeholders across the organization
  • Engage with appropriate teams to implement measures to mitigate or prevent identified privacy risks related to products and technology
  • Prepare, implement and maintain documentation such as policies and compliance reports to demonstrate how the organizations manages privacy-by-design responsibilities
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the field of privacy, data governance, engineering, privacy engineering, or consulting with focus on privacy/data protection by design, privacy engineering, privacy impact assessments and privacy risk mitigation
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, law, cybersecurity, information systems, engineering, data science or related field of study
  • One or more privacy certification required (CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPT, CIPM or CDPSE)
  • Knowledge of global privacy and regulatory frameworks, such as GDPR, CCPA, GLBA, HIPAA, or other privacy laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of Privacy by Design and privacy engineering principles and frameworks
  • Experience with different privacy frameworks, including GAPP and NIST
  • Substantive understanding of data privacy, technology, and related terminology
  • Familiarity with OneTrust is a plus

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position in Colorado is $74K - $107K/year ; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position offers a comprehensive variable compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
