Department Overview

Our Global Marketing and Brand Teams are in search of a Graphic Designer to work in both digital and print media who is highly-skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, Office Suite and Google Suite.
You will drive creative storytelling concepts through your passion for visual design, experience in collaborative work environments and your effective communication skills. Attention to detail is key and you will deliver impactful and beautiful designs with the utmost quality. You will ensure all projects align with our business needs and brand voice and style.

Job Description

You must possess a mix of creative and technical skills but attention to detail is critical to this role. You will review and edit copy, create layouts and design to ensure brand standards across color, font, production quality including CMYK, RBG, spot color and more. You will be responsible for scale, cropping, clipping and retouching. You need to understand resolution, color values, size accuracies and the basic principles of design. 

You are meticulous and a problem-solver with a sharp eye for the smallest details. You are an excellent communicator and collaborator. You know how to handle deadlines and must have the ability to manage tasks under stress. You will be the final checkpoint for all projects prior to production. 

Be Visual 

  • Translate concepts into visual storytelling, wireframes and creative concepts.

  • Work within MSI-established design guidelines and collaborate with team members to ensure consistency across designs. At the same time, explore new executions of the brand.

  • Prepare and present work to internal teams including senior leadership.

  • Be a primary creative voice and advocate of the Motorola Solutions brand.

  • Present and defend creative work to marketing and corporate teams. 

  • Ensure quality, visual and brand standards are met.

  • Lead the creative design and execution of presentations, brochures, emails, trade show graphics, icons and illustrations. 

Be Conceptual 

  • Collaborate and brainstorm with business partners to understand, identify and collect requirements to creatively execute design concepts.

  • Inspire and bring new ideas to the team through creative thought leadership.

  • Direct creative work of marketing materials designed by contractors, agencies and internal designers to adhere to brand design guidelines.

  • Provide solutions based on research and sharing of current trends that will elevate our design.

Key Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Graphic Design

  • Proficient in Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint, Google Suite

  • Knowledge and experience of illustration, infographic, and icon design principles.

  • Practical knowledge in LightRoom, Adobe Acrobat, FinalCut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Dreamweaver.

  • Knowledge of Premiere Pro and After Effects a plus

  • Strong organizational skills in maintaining files, file naming and version control.

  • Superior communication skills.

  • Excellent project management skills; organized and able to multitask and work under short deadlines.

  • High energy: a desire to learn and a drive to excel.

  • Passionate and motivated team player.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
