The junior designer will be responsible for supporting the creative team with various projects including resizing multiple digital ads, creating versions of existing creative executions, taking print pieces to final production, designing emails, designing print and digital retail materials, and more. This role will be an integral part of the Home Chef marketing team and will be responsible for working quickly and efficiently. The role will major in the creation of retail assets. Must have an eye for detail, great organizational skills, and collaborate well with others.
Responsibility Area: Production
- Taking existing files and prepping them to be print ready
- Understanding of final file release (dielines, resolution, cmyk vs rgb, retouching, etc)
- Helping the design team finalize gifs, emails, retail pieces, ads, and all other brand materials
- Organizational file skills a must
Responsibility Area: Creative
- Collaborate with the creative team to create multiple versions of an existing design or concept
- Create beautiful designs that are on strategy for retail
- Understanding of both print and digital work; the ability to pick up any project and take it to completion
Responsibility Area: Project Management
- Ability to work quickly with sometimes tight timelines
- A high level of focus and detail for the task at hand
- Ability to juggle multiple projects at once and prioritize to ensure all deadlines are met
Qualifications:
- Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch
- 1-2 years of previous design experience
- Understanding of typography, color, composition, and final production
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to juggle multiple projects at a time
- A strong portfolio of both digital and print work
- A desire to innovate and concept new ideas, while staying brand consistent
- Experience with both e-comm and retail design is preferred
