Are you looking to be in a workplace where colleagues inspire one another? Are you interested in competitive and impactful benefits? Do you prefer a hybrid work model and flexible work arrangements?

We are seeking a Manager of Product Design to help drive great design for our I/O DESIGN POD product features. Search and Visualization is the engine that drives our clients’ eDiscovery process, enabling them to find the truth, then act on it. This is an incredibly daunting task as finding the proverbial needle in the haystack might require cutting through and making sense of hundreds of thousands of documents.

In collaboration with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and Data Scientists, you will manage a team of 5-6 designers located in the US and Poland to help identify and analyze user needs and pain points, develop innovative solutions that address these needs while meeting business objectives, leverage the latest in AI and machine learning, and employ your design skills to define, build, and validate outstanding user experiences. Join us in the transformation of the legal industry and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the practice of law and beyond.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the vision for the future of how data is consumed, managed and processed in RelOne. This work has a huge impact across the entire platform and for the work of our customers.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams throughout the product development process, from discovery through to implementation and continuous product improvement.
  • Manage performance and career growth for Product Designers.
  • Develop and maintain a User Experience roadmap and backlog.
  • Author and evolve group roles and best practices.
  • Identify and manage required budgets for user experience.
  • Manage user and stakeholder research to develop a deep understanding of our clients and users, as well as their current behaviors and expectations.
  • Synthesize user feedback, product analytics, and business requirements in order to develop and explore impactful ideas and product solutions.
  • Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Partner with department leaders and key stakeholders to understand the vision for Relativity, how it’s evolving and how it’s being implemented.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide them with detailed designs and requirements and assist in their implementation and validation via Agile methodologies.
  • Participate in the internal development of our design system, Aero, lead the front in defining our standards for visualizations, as well as evangelize and help coordinate its adoption across our company.
  • Maintain an understanding of how functionality is being implemented across verticals. Identify and raise cross product/feature implementation overlap.
  • Share and promote the output of user research as another source of data to drive decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading the design and usability efforts for a leading B2B SaaS/cloud product presence, and in particular for data-rich and visualization-heavy features.
  • Experience in the field of document and/or content management.
  • Experience in an agile environment.
  • Experience closely collaborating with product and engineering teams.
  • Proven experience using user research to develop and inform the UI.
  • Proven portfolio of highly visualized and interactive applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of technical aspects of UX across desktop and mobile (iOS, Android) platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of Figma or Sketch. Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, Marvel or other similar UI design and prototyping software experience a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript and UI frameworks.
  • Advanced degree a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6-8+ years of experience as a UX designer, interaction designer, multimedia designer, or similar.
  • 1-2+ years of managerial or leadership experience
  • Demonstrate a portfolio of work with a proven track record for solving difficult UX and visualization design problems with intuitive and highly interactive interfaces for customers.
