Job Description
Our Global Marketing Brand and Creative Team is in search of a Senior Graphic Designer, experienced in both digital and print media, who will manage a small team of designers. You'll join our team in our Chicago Corporate Headquarters where our culture is casual and social but fast-paced with an emphasis on innovation and creativity.
You will drive creative storytelling concepts through your passion for visual design, experience in collaborative work environments and your effective communication skills. Attention to detail is key and as a highly-skilled designer and leader, you will ensure all projects align with our business needs and brand style.
Managing a small team of designers, you will provide guidance on creative strategy and conceptualization, while supporting your team in delivering impactful and beautiful designs with the utmost quality. Collaborating with product experts, senior leadership team and global marketers, you will confidently communicate conceptual ideas to your team and oversee the execution of that vision.
Passionate and motivated, you will lead your team to support the product marketing organization and evolve your team as business needs change.
Be Visual
Translate concepts into visual storytelling, wireframes and creative concepts.
Work within our established design guidelines and collaborate with team members to ensure consistency across designs. At the same time, explore new executions of the brand.
Prepare and present work to internal teams including senior leadership.
Be a primary creative voice and advocate of the Motorola Solutions brand.
Present and explain rationale for creative work to marketing and corporate teams.
Ensure quality, visual and brand standards are met.
Lead the creative design and execution of presentations, brochures, emails, trade show graphics, icons and illustrations.
Be Conceptual
Collaborate and brainstorm with business partners to understand, identify and collect requirements to creatively execute design concepts.
Inspire and bring new ideas to the team through creative thought leadership.
Direct creative work of marketing materials designed by contractors, agencies and internal designers to adhere to brand design guidelines.
Provide solutions based on research and sharing of current trends that will elevate our design.

Additional Knowledge/Skills
Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint, Google Suite
Knowledge and experience in HTML/CSS (email, animated banner/gifs)
Knowledge and experience in editorial design and typography.
Knowledge and experience of illustration, infographic, and icon design principles.
Practical knowledge in LightRoom, Adobe Acrobat, FinalCut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Dreamweaver.
Practical knowledge of basic photographic and video production principles.
Strong organizational skills in maintaining files, file naming and version control.
Superior communication skills and able to multitask under short deadlines.
Excellent problem-solving abilities to quickly mitigate challenges.
Excellent project management and time management skills.
Ability to navigate competing priorities and allocate resources appropriately.
High-energy, passionate and motivated leader.
Self-taught and driven to excel.
B2B marketing experience is a plus.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required
5+ years of Graphic Design experience.
3+ years of managing Graphic Designers.
