Production Designer

Cooler Screens was founded on the core idea that consumers deserve a far better experience than what is available today in brick-and-mortar retail. We call this concept Consumer Experience (“CX”) and it guides all that we do.  We have begun the CX journey by bringing what consumers love about shopping on-line to the frozen and refrigerated food aisle.

Cooler Screens is re-imagining the business of brick-and-mortar retail for retailers and brands.  We are transforming retail cooler surfaces into IoT enabled screens that deliver new marketing opportunities and smart merchandising for the ultimate shopper experience. Cooler Screens is building the world’s first and largest in-store digital media and edge computing platform at the retail point-of-sale.

As the Production Designer you will take on established concepts/designs and extend them to various media types ensuring accuracy and preparing them for publication.  Ultimately, you will ensure that our creative output meets and exceeds the highest quality standards.

Who You Are:

• You combine strong creative and technical skills
• You have an eye for detail and project management experience
• You have experience in supporting digital and/or other media businesses
• You can work both independently and collaborate as a teammate
• You are comfortable and have a track record working in fast paced environments (Start-up experience is helpful)
• You are passionate about building something from scratch and thrive operating in unchartered territory

What You Will Do:

• Collaborate closely with digital product team
• Prepare final files based on supplied specifications
• Build, edit and redeign presentations to be production-ready,  resolving any artwork issues that arise during production
• Provide image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation
• Package and preflight files for release to team or media partners
• Wordpress/Squarespace experience preferred but not required 

What You Need to Succeed

• 5+ years of experience in design with an emphasis in digital
• Thorough knowledge of Adobe Suite and PowerPoint
• Diverse portfolio of work
• Ability to handle multiple projects at once
• You are a skilled communicator
• Excellent organization skills with a keen eye to detail
• Strong and creative problem-solving skills and you don’t get discouraged if the answer isn’t readily available
