As the Senior Product Designer, Data and Merchandising, at Provi, you will be part of a team of product managers, engineers and designers all working to build the simplest way to buy and sell alcohol in the beverage industry. The Data and Merchandising team at Provi is responsible for building out the most performant advertising platform in the alcohol industry from elegant, innovative advertising units to the internal and external analytics tools that power them. Our ad platform is a core revenue driver and essential to Provi’s monetization strategy in 2021 and beyond.
 

What you’ll be doing

• Work with a team of engineers, product managers and other designers to design, prototype and launch innovative solutions that meet needs of customers -- retailers, alcohol distributors and suppliers -- and business goals. 
• Take a feature from user problem discovery through wireframes and high fidelity design to launch.
• Think holistically about your product area of focus. This is not an optimization role; the Sr. Product Designer will be instrumental in taking Provi from 0 to 1. 
• Intake user feedback -- both qualitative (user research studies, surveys, and focus groups) and quantitative (onboarding funnels, usage trends) -- to identify new feature sets and iterations on existing functionality.
• Collaborate daily with product, engineering and operational leaders to build amazing and thoughtful experiences.
• Be adaptable and flexible. This is a fast-paced startup; the only constant is change.  
• Be both a teacher and student to your peers in the product team. Help the product team as a whole continue to improve. Help facilitate and maintain our team dynamic: open, encouraging, productive. Lead with empathy. 
• Above all strive to make the Provi team, business and product great.

What we are looking for

• At least 5 years of experience in product design taking a feature from discovery to execution. 
• Strong visual design and user interface background. 
• Understanding of marketplaces and commerce-related products (payments, advertising, merchandising and more).
• Experience working with data visualization products and internal tools. 
• Proven track record of getting things done and done well with lots of examples of projects you've spearheaded.
• Amazing written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort with ambiguity and the grit to turn uncertainty into action.
