The mission of the Narrative Science Design and Research team is to design differentiated digital and service experiences that drive adoption and continued engagement by reflecting a deep understanding of customers’ needs. The Design and Research team at Narrative Science is tackling new interaction paradigms for understanding data afforded by our artificial intelligence technology. As a Senior Designer on our team, you will envision how people experience our products and bring that vision to life in a way that feels inspired, refined and delightful.

In this role, you will own the design of a strategic area of the Lexio platform, architecting a groundbreaking experience that brings dynamic insights to business users as easy-to-understand narratives. In order to make data driven decisions, Lexio’s users need to understand what’s happening in their data, collaborate to deepen understanding and take action on insights. The experience of using a product in the new data storytelling category is exciting but also inherently challenging because of the change it introduces. Design has a unique opportunity to make onboarding and ongoing use desirable and delightful so that business users can take advantage of the benefits of using this emerging technology.

Your job will be to create simplicity from complexity; map real-world scenarios to tasks and workflows, understand the technology framework that supports these interaction patterns and influence everything from micro interactions to the most complex system design challenges. As the Lexio product grows, our goals are monumental and we need extraordinary designers to realize them.
