About the Role
As a Senior Product Designer - Onboarding & User Research you will be tasked with becoming obsessed with our RIA users and how they interact with our SaaS marketplace. We are looking for someone to help shape the user research practice at Halo, while working with agile product & engineering teams to build a best-in-class onboarding experience. Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the best practices for user research within the product organization that will help identify opportunities for product improvement for users.
• Conduct user interviews to gain a deep understanding of the Halo users.
• Report to the Lead Product Designer and collaborate with other designers to ensure parity with the design system and vision of the product.
• Collaborate with product management and business stakeholders to identify problem statements and conduct user discovery to build best-in-class solutions.
• Craft user journeys, personas, wireframes, responsive high-fidelity prototypes that align to user and business needs.
• Closely work with engineers to manifest design into features.

Required Education and Experience:

• Ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience and has led design research projects in the past.
• Fluent in design tools such as Figma and Miro. Familiarity with Adobe products is a plus.
• Experience working in a SaaS or similar agile product development environment.
• Previous startup experience is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
