Summary

As a Senior User Experience Researcher, you will be responsible for furthering the UX research practice at Hyatt.

The ideal candidate is a creative, passionate, pragmatic thinker that can identify opportunities to use research to help teams solve problems and analyze customer behaviors to create innovative experiences in a fast-paced environment.  Ideal candidates will have experience in a diverse set of research techniques.  This professional will play a pivotal role in making sure the user has a seat at the table throughout the product lifecycle of cross-functional product teams. Senior Researchers will work in tandem with stakeholders, product designers and product managers to further the research know-how across multiple disciplines.  Senior researchers will serve as an expert consultant for product teams who want to understand guest and customer sentiment and behaviors. 

Responsibilities

Conducts complex qualitative and quantitative research about our guests, members, owners, and colleagues that benefits multiple product teams.

Stewards of research findings, collecting findings centrally and distributing them to relevant teams and groups at Hyatt.

Brings new and cutting-edge research techniques in service of product team needs.

Facilitating research goals from product teams and stakeholders according to product and business roadmaps.

Demonstrates a commitment to Hyatt core values.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a user experience researcher.

Strong digital web, mobile web & native app research experience. B2C preferred.

Demonstrated expertise in conducting interviews, surveys, contextual inquiry, usability testing, and unmoderated user experience research techniques in service of clearly defined research goals.

Excellent research facilitation skills.

Able to clearly communicate relevant research findings through presentations and written documentation.

Experience working with other designers and product teams to drive design thinking and lean/agile best practices and tools.

Demonstrated experience in hypothesis-driven, continuous learning and Experience evolving the design and discovery process of modern product development with qualitative and quantitative research insights.

Ability to work in cross-functional teams to foster healthy and high performing teams based on technical feasibility, business viability, and customer desirability.

Education 

Bachelor's Degree required
