Senior UX Design Researcher
Who You Are
As a Senior UX Design Researcher, you will have the unique opportunity to drive and establish the research practice within a growing user experience practice which advocates for user-centered design and evangelizes the value, practical application, and integration of UX design research across the organization.
As we continue to rapidly grow across multiple dimensions, including our customer base and product offerings, we are seeking a passionate and motivated Senior UX Design Researcher to develop and lead our UX research practice. The ideal candidate will have experience collaborating effectively with project managers, lead developers, and senior UX/UI designers.
As a Senior UX Design Researcher, you will be responsible for designing and executing research studies, analyzing data, and communicating insights to stakeholders. You will be expected to develop a mastery of a comprehensive toolkit of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to come up with creative research solutions as needed. You will collaborate with product managers, lead developers, and senior UX/UI Designers to continuously improve the user experience of our products.

What You'll Do:
- Own and drive the research strategy for the user and developer Experience.
- Help the teams ask the right questions, and bring them along in discovering practical, actionable, and insightful answers.
- Facilitate, implement, and lead agile UX design research processes and methods, including usability testing, surveys, and other research techniques that define and derive needed metrics to continuously improve the user experience of our products.
- Collect and analyze user data, develop insights and recommendations for improving the user experience of our products.
- Develop and maintain research documentation, including research plans, reports, case studies and other relevant documents.
- Work closely with the UX design team to ensure that research insights are incorporated into the design process.
- Stay up to date with UX research best practices and industry trends, and advocate for the importance of UX research and practical applications within the organization.
- Work within technical environment with and for end-user developers, translating complex concepts into clear and engaging insights.

- Master’s in Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, Anthropology, Information Science, or in a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 5+ years of practiced experience in UX design research or related field.
- Strong understanding of UX research principles, methods, and best practices.
- Experience with mixed method user research using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Experience operating and collaborating within an agile project development lifecycle.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and designers.
- Strong experience leading UX research projects from start to finish with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience collecting and analyzing user data to develop actionable insights and recommendations.
- Experience with research tools such as user testing software, survey tools, and analytics tools.
- Ability to drive, prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working in a software engineering-driven company, preferred.
- Is proactive and self-directed with an ability to take direction.
