In your role as Senior UX Designer, you must take ownership of the user experience and visual design of products and features. You must be able to work closely with stakeholders to understand business goals drive projects from conception and research to completion. You should have a deep understanding of mobile and desktop design practices. You should be able to test ideas with real users in a variety of methods depending on the needs of the product or feature. You will be involved in all phases of the software lifecycle to ensure that ideas are tested to be high quality and that they are implemented correctly to drive Key Performance Indicators in the right direction. This role will report into the product organization at PowerReviews and report directly to the Director, User Experience.

Key Accountabilities

  • Creating wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to validate new product and/or feature ideas on behalf of the broader product team
  • Collaborating with front-end development team members to create simple and intuitive product experiences
  • Coordinating with Product Managers to conduct and execute research initiatives to inform product directions
  • Distilling research and test results into actionable plans for development
  • Working with the other UX designers to refine the design process and to contribute to a consistent and effective design system
  • Embracing flexibility by jumping in where help is needed, taking the reigns and displaying ownership over the projects you contribute to
  • Partnering with a cross-functional team to deliver highly desirable, usable, and tangible interactive experiences
  • Producing stunning, adaptive and holistic visual designs and information architecture through sketches, wireframes, illustrations, and other user-centered design methodologies

Requirements & Preferred Skills:

  • 7+ years experience designing responsive and adaptive consumer-facing websites, apps and mobile experiences
  • Strong visual design aesthetic
  • Experience with A/B testing
  • Experience with usability testing (live or remote)
  • Understanding of working within and building design systems
  • Working knowledge of Adobe products and Sketch in a Mac environment
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for prototyping and proofs of concept
  • Familiarity in designing across multiple screen sizes and devices
  • Understanding of agile development process
  • Team mentality to do what’s best for the product
  • Experience in the eCommerce space is a plus
