Shiftgig, one of Chicago’s high-growth tech companies, is actively seeking a Senior Communication Designer/Senior Digital Graphic Designer to work collaboratively with our marketing and product teams, developers and other internal stakeholders. You’ll be part graphic designer, part systems thinker, and part visual storyteller and should be passionate about leveraging design to elevate our brand and experience. You’ll be integral in implementing new designs and projects and consulting on digital design efforts across our business.

What you'll do:

• Bring brand positioning to life through websites, landing pages, email campaigns, online advertising, video, infographics, applications and more
• Tightly partner with writers, content strategists, and marketers to produce a wide range of deliverables to support internal and external communication efforts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape and tell Shiftgig's brand story
• Serve as the internal brand steward and shepherd to ensure that every touchpoint of the Shiftgig experience is consistent and engaging
• Possess a deep understanding of the business and technology to produce great within the appropriate context
• Approach problem solving through an iterative and human-centered process
• Help instill a design culture in the company as a whole and develop our growing design practice to guide internal teams to support high quality and consistently designed experiences
• Be a self-starter to proactively solve problems within a fast moving organization

What you'll need:

• Project management experience a plus
• Established proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver (or other tools to design as well as create HTML, CSS, Javascript), general CMS experience
• Experience in other animation technologies (Flash / Animate) or Video Editing (Premiere / After Effects) highly desirable
• 5-8 years of experience creating digital designs
