Job Description
Are you passionate about uncovering the demands of the user and what inspires them to engage with brands? Moving from discovery to ideation, do you equally enjoy shaping the eventual customer experience? Then this role was made for you! As the Sr. UX Designer on the Global Digital Marketing team, you will be responsible for understanding complex business goals, technical limitations and user behavior to design enjoyable and intuitive online experience that drive engagement and support demand generation.
Rooted in deep understanding of user-centered design (UCD), you will be responsible for conducting research, interviews and surveys for a variety of our users, including customers, prospects, partners and salespeople. You will then synthesize findings and develop insights to create sitemaps, customer journey maps, wireframes and prototypes for our business-to-business websites. You will conduct user-testing and leverage analytics to continue to refine and iterate on those experiences to enhance the user experience and to further support business objectives.
In addition, you will work on a variety of larger end-to-end future envisioning efforts where you facilitate and participate in design exercises, lead brainstorming sessions, design journey maps and influence and support our larger global team of UX designers to deliver best-in-class and unified experiences by defining and evangelizing UX standards and best practices in our Digital Experience systems (DES).
Additional Knowledge/Skills:
Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch and InVision. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
Ability to work with stakeholders and partners to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet their goals and vision.
Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
A deep understanding of design thinking principles and best practices to guide creative execution across digital properties like MotorolaSolutions.com.
Strong project management and organizational skills; able to multi-task and work under short deadlines.
Ability to clearly and efficiently communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
Be able to build productive, positive working relationships internally and externally and collaborate and communicate closely with them to regularly deliver design solutions.
Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.

Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
Experience working in agile/scrum software development methodologies a plus.
History managing or leveraging design systems for medium to large scale enterprise brands.
Experience in the technology sector a plus
Experience/knowledge of government or public safety market a plus
Front-end development experience a plus
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a design related field (Human computer interaction design, industrial design, design communication), Business or Marketing.
6+ years UX design experience, 2+ years of experience in designing complex solutions for complete digital environments in business-to-business marketing, publishing or communications.
