Visual Designer

About the role:
UI Designers advocate for our customers by bringing wireframes and prototypes to life via high-fidelity mockups. They influence interaction designs for a variety of financial products and audiences via design systems. Utilizing industry standards, web-design best practices, performance data and AA accessibility standards to build best-in-class customer experiences. They work as part of a concentrated UX team making a positive impact on the way customers experience Enova’s businesses.
What you’ll be doing:
As a UI Designer, you will see projects through their life cycle (using our UX framework methodology) from wireframe to the post-release phase, including QA. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, partnering with Engineering and pitching to stakeholders along the way. You should be familiar with the design systems of code frameworks such as (bootstrap, Vue, etc.) and create designs with future states in mind, answering engineering questions along the way. As a part of building consensus you may present usability approaches and research to varying audiences, from sophisticated design experts to non-designers. You will be responsible for building and maintaining design systems for each of our brands.
We’re excited about you if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in HCI, Visual Design or related discipline
- 3+ years of experience practicing UI Design at a technology or ecommerce company with an emphasis on mobile web
- Familiarity collaborating with product, engineering and UX teammates to define and implement innovative solutions for the product visuals and experience
- Experience executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
- Experience building and maintaining design systems using Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, etc.
- Strong attention to and love of all things UI
- Experience collaborating with SE teams in an Agile environment to understand technical considerations and communicate them to non-technical stakeholders
- Worked within an iterative testing approach that requires a rapid design, build, and measurement cycle
- Flexibility and adaptability to rework your designs based on legal, product, marketing, SE and other stakeholder feedback
- Plus if you can demonstrate strong working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Vue, Bootstrap and other frameworks
