Job Description
As a UI/UX Designer, you will own the design development of the entire product portfolio including cloud portal, mobile app, and hardware installation and setup. As a member of an agile team, you will be responsible for creating designs for access control and building management solutions.
The UI/UX Designer will predominantly work alongside a team in Vancouver. While we are not mandating in-office presence in Vancouver, this individual must reside in PST either in the United States or Canada.
Responsibilities:
Creating user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, and user feedback specific to access control and building management solutions
Creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes and mockups
Translating requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns and attractive user interfaces
Designing UI elements such as input controls, navigational components and informational components
Creating original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
Work closely with developers and product managers to ensure the successful technical implementation of your work
Interact with users to develop a solid understanding of their workflows, environments, needs and pain points
Incorporating customer and internal feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into design in order to enhance user experience
Perform competitive product analysis
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience as a Product Designer
Proficiency in tools for gathering customer feedback (surveys, focus groups, A/B testing, etc.)
Experience with Jira a requirement; familiarity with Figma as plus
Familiarity or interest with the smart home ecosystem
Basic Requirements
3+ years of experience as a User Interface Product Designer
Proficiency in tools for gathering customer feedback (surveys, focus groups, A/B testing, etc.)
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. or Canada indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
