UX Designer

Mission:

Design an impactful, beautiful, and delightful user experience that works well in our users' daily workflow. Be a voice alongside DAIS leadership and end users to brainstorm and iterate on designs to come up with the best possible solution.

Responsibilities:

• We are innovative. Our products are built using the best form factor for the user based on who they are and what they’re trying to do. This includes not just Web/tablet/mobile, but potentially conversational interfaces, email, paper, physical interactions, etc.

• Areas where user persona or task/contextual information is missing, or any other blockers, are escalated to the user research team and product management.

• We have an inspiration board with the most innovative designs from around the world that we can look at to borrow inspirations from.

• Every design we do is linked to a user persona and user path.

• Designs are presented in a way that describes the user and what they’re trying to do.

• Designs are clearly documented in a way that provides development teams with an understanding of what each visual element does and how it relates to the user’s purpose.

• Our experiences are intuitive and can be used without training

• This person will conduct user testing and user interviews, gather the output, and synthesise into easy to digest assets.

• DAIS UI elements will be reworked to fit with the larger brand identity

• UX assets are documented, organized and easily navigated.

• UX will have a 2 sprint lead on development

• Our experiences encourage adoption, growing usage over time, and viral spread across and between organizations

Requirements:

• Strong UX portfolio showing good aesthetic appreciation, interest in new types of interaction designs, and user-centric thinking

• Proficient in Sketch and indesign. Experience with Zeplin and Abstract prefered.

• A personality that is inquisitive, open-minded, confident, and comfortable escalating issues and blockers to get them resolved as quickly as possible

• Comfortable presenting early designs in front of stakeholders and users to gather feedback and constructive criticism so that the design can be improved quickly

• Ok with starting a design for others to react to, and comfortable with receiving feedback to make the design better

• Experience creating and presenting clickable prototypes.

• Excellent communication skills and a pleasant personality

• At least 2 - 5 years experience UX and UI design for digital products & services
