divvyDOSE is a new kind of home-delivery pharmacy in a hyper-growth phase. Our vision is to fix and reimagine healthcare for everyone. Our mission is to improve the quality of people’s lives by fixing all the problems around getting and taking their medications. We've taken the first step by simplifying adherence.

We’re now part of Optum and the UnitedHealth Group family of businesses, backed by the resources of a global health organization working to help people live healthier lives and to help make the health system work better for everyone.

Our company is professional but fun, dedicated yet quirky. We are fast-paced, highly-motivated doctors, pharmacists, designers, technologists, and support staff who focus on health and wellness (and if we’re being honest, sometimes pizza) and most of us have slight obsessions with our pets. We want to make a difference in the lives of our customers by treating them like friends and family. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefit plan. For more information about us, visit https://site.divvydose.com/careers.html.

Are you looking for a way to create next-level results with a human approach? Then look at opportunities with divvyDOSE, where changing the world is just one result of doing your life’s best work.

About the Role

UX Research Manager

This is a leader and a practitioner role. You will be conducting research studies AND managing and mentors team members

As a Manager, you will lead, inspire, and grow the talent of the other UX researchers. Your responsibility is to build your team members’ confidence and help each person become better designers, story tellers, and business thinkers. You will lead the team in establishing the research process and deliverable standards; answering the question “how do we conduct UX research at divvyDOSE?”

As a UX Researcher, you are responsible for helping us understand our customers’ needs and collaborate in the creation of the experiences that make a difference in their lives. You will collaborate with product managers in the creation of a research road. You will also collaborate with design, engineering, and other Optum research teams to improve the quality we deliver to customers' lives through innovative design and compassionate service.

You are someone energized by listening to customers and telling their stories. The insights you uncover will inform strategic decisions for our products, inspire innovation, and help us make data-driven design decisions.

You are curious, innovative, and humble — hungry to learn and a desire to solve all the customer problems. Scrappy yet think systematically and plan for scalability. Open, optimistic, action-oriented, and energized by making an impact.

We care deeply about the humans in our care and on our teams. We are committed to helping you gain valuable experience, broaden your skills, have fun, and feel valued every day.

  • Create robust user profiles and personas, continuously improved and refined with new learnings from research and other data sources.
  • Educate others about user-centered design practices and evangelize a design-led approach.
  • Help us paint a full picture of users and their contexts by connecting the dots between primary research, secondary research, usage data, support call logs, etc.
  • Coach, mentor, and foster a culture and community that supports each other and strives for excellence.
  • Recruit, retain and develop top-notch UX talent

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to quickly review and synthesize large amounts of information and distill into meaningful insights.
  • Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, with an ability to be flexible and adaptable.
