UX Researcher
Neighborhoods.com is seeking a UX Researcher to lead research on both of our sites (Neighborhoods.com & 55places.com) and who will partner closely with designers, product managers and other researchers to help craft the future of buying and selling homes for homebuyers, our partner real estate agents, and internal operators.
Our products need dedicated, passionate people to conduct formative, generative and evaluative research studies that enable product and design teams to make more informed, confident decisions.
You will work on projects that help the team understand the home buying journey and identify key moments in the process. You will work on internal and external tools that drive the relationship between homebuyers, partner real estate agents and the business.
About the Role
You will:
- Plan and execute User Experience research projects
- Work with third-party vendors including participant recruiters and research service providers
- Uncover user insights that inform design objectives and goals
- Partner with Product, PMO, Engineering, Sales and Marketing to ensure execution meets user & business needs
- Partner with Data Science and Marketing Analytics to gather data, perform user research and derive key insights (usability sessions, competitive research, surveys, etc.)
- Lead customer experience mapping & user research initiatives
- Implement tools to collect quantitative and qualitative data from internal and external product users
- Partner with Marketing Analytics team to quantify user behaviors and inform hypotheses for design research
- Deliver insights into design tools and assets for product managers and designers to use (personas, design principles, empathy maps, customer journey maps, experience maps, scenarios, etc. as appropriate)
Who you are:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience leading teams and research initiatives
- BA/BS Degree in HCI or related field
- Adept at growing collaborative partnerships across multidisciplinary teams, particularly with product management, design, and stakeholders
- A strong portfolio demonstrating approach and deliverables across all aspects (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting), including experience with mobile and iOS apps, preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; effective at storytelling to share findings clearly and persuasively across multiple mediums to various groups
- Able to think strategically and develop creative solutions to research challenges
- Organized and flexible to switch rapidly between different projects
- Successful at conducting product research that ultimately leads to breakthrough product, business or marketing results
- Able to work independently and collaborate with others.
- Experienced in planning and facilitating workshops
