Visual Designer
We are a Chicago based, VC funded tech company (http://bit.ly/ReviewTrackers). Our company focuses on simplicity, and usability to provide location based businesses an easy way to monitor what is being said about them in online reviews. We have thousands of paying locations already and are growing every month.
As the Visual Designer, you will work with the Product Design & Marketing team to craft how our customers understand our product and use it to achieve success. You will help provide support for design-and-communications-related needs across the company.

This role will be supported by a multi-faceted team of content managers and product designers with whom you will be expected to collaborate extensively, and who will push you to achieve your very best.
Responsibilities
- Own and uphold our visual identity across all marketing channels in a variety of mediums.
- Create visual designs for marketing collateral, events, emails, website, advertising and more to support the product, sales, and customer support team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders /team to map out and drive the timeline.
- While your main focus will be on the marketing side, there will be some crossover to the product side and will look for your contributions in the UX design process of our software product development.
- Work closely with the product team to propagate efficient and successful workflow management, best practices, and continually improving processes as they relate to design work and deliverables.
- A strong portfolio that reflects a diversity of styles, experience in digital, and work across multiple channels and mediums. A portfolio MUST be provided. You will not be considered without one.
- 2-3 years experience in creating visual assets.
- Can give (and receive!) constructive design feedback.
- Ability to adapt to new challenges and dive into understanding new tools, content, and tasks.
- Thinks in systems; is equally confident in the abstract and in the detailed execution.
- Ability to take and understand direction and work autonomously.
- A good command of visual design software (Sketch, Adobe CC, and even Keynote and MS Office).
- Working knowledge of UX principles.
Nice-to-have
- Outstanding written, in-person and oral communication skills - at the very least you have to be able to explain your ideas.
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JS).
- Animation/motion design.
- User Research/Testing.
