As a Director of Product at PEAK6, you will collaborate with the team in driving the strategy for a new product on our investments side that infuses robust analytical capabilities into daily work operations such as performance management and communication tools. 

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Building a new product strategy. You’ll translate customer, brand, and market understanding into actionable product roadmaps that solve customer needs in an exceptional way.
  • Make an impact. With this new product, the work you do will help in tangible ways. You’ll work directly with the CEO to create a product vision. You’ll define and write business requirements for product features and functionality and work closely with the engineering team to deliver results.
  • Collaborate. The floor is always open for great ideas. We love to collaborate, share ideas and get different perspectives. You’ll work with a small team of smart people who value smart ideas and strong opinions. 
  • Work in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work tirelessly with your teammates to achieve timely deliverables with high performance. You will show results and see things through.

You’ll gain loads of experience in this role but before you do, you should have:

  • A strong product focus. You’ll have a proven track record of early stage product definition, ability to articulate and drive a product vision and strategy into market, and delivering a world-class product, on time and on budget 
  • An insatiable curiosity. You love solving problems and learning new things. You’re resourceful, inquisitive, and proactive in gaining knowledge.
  • Flexibility. You’re comfortable trying new things, and you think there’s no such thing as one right way.
  • Resourcefulness. You’re scrappy and will do what it takes to achieve results. You understand that calculated risk is necessary in making meaningful changes, and impact how you operate.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset. You find building things from the ground up exciting and rewarding. You embrace the challenges and encourage others to find creative solutions. 
  • 5-10 years’ experience in product management
  • Demonstrated experience managing a team
  • Prior P&L management experience
  • Prior experience with building product management disciplines in an organization
  • Ability to self-manage in a fast-paced, challenging environment
  • Experience delivering products/services in a high growth environment where priorities are constantly shifting
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and brainstorm new ideas with technical team
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and do what's necessary
