Under the direction of the Partner leading the Healthcare Revenue Cycle service area, the Director is a hospital and physician revenue cycle subject matter leader is accountable for growth of and leading a significant subject area. In addition, the individual is focused on leading a service delivery team, engagements and client relationships, in accordance with firm policies and procedures. The primary objective for a Director is to build leadership, leverage, and legacy for the Firm. As a technical leader, the individual should work to be famous for hospital and physician revenue cycle, both internally and externally.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manages assigned clients and engagements by provide proactive client management and planning along with leadership and accountability for engagements. This includes managing engagements to ensure delivery of services on time and within budget.
- Ensures high quality of delivery and satisfied client.
- Obtains service extensions with client.
- Supports business development efforts by participating in sales pursuits and proposal and engagement letter development.
- Develops strategy, growth, and service plans for subject areas.
- Accountable for execution of growth and delivery plans.
- Awareness, whitepapers and presentations to the external market.
- Performs Revenue cycle assessments while maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines e.g. HIPAA
- Supports practice leadership at all levels in coordinating education and re-education needs for revenue cycle staff during training engagements
- Oversees change management process to include mapping out of revenue cycle best practice workflow updated, enduring all recommendations are successfully implemented.
- Maintains awareness of reimbursement trends and facilitates recommended and implements related responses
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in appropriate emphasis area for the role such as Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Operations Management, Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Ten+ years' experience in a revenue cycle billing firm or eight+ years of private industry experience in hospital & physician revenue cycle area plus three+ years in a revenue cycle billing firm.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Revenue Cycle operations experience including knowledge in pre-authorization, pre-admission processes, denials management, claims adjudication, etc.
- Revenue Cycle business process optimization experience including knowledge of edits, denials, holds, reimbursement, etc.
- Revenue Cycle Data Analysis Knowledge of key performance indicators for Revenue Cycle and national benchmarks
- Deep knowledge of facility coding and billing processes
- Training, support or consulting advisory experience preferred.
- Experience with compliance or professional standards associated with area of expertise desired.

Wipfli supports equal pay for equal work and values each candidate's unique experiences and skill sets. The estimated pay range for this position is: $117,000 to $195,000. Compensation within the range is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, individuals' skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business needs and applicable employment laws.
