As an Application Security Lead, you’ll play a critical role in fulfilling the mission of Tempus by providing secure and private precision medicine methodologies for our clients and their patients
Why we’re looking for you:
- You've got a few years of experience managing application security teams, and can lead security analysis & remediation activities, evaluate tradeoffs, and champion best practices
- You’re up to the challenge of building out an Application Security practice from scratch, including developing, communicating, and embedding new processes and/or policies
- You’re up to speed on modern web tech we use like Javascript/TypeScript, Node.js, React/Angular, Postgres, Python, and hosting all these components in an AWS architecture.
- You write meaningful, useful documentation and tests, and coordinate cross-team collaboration
- You enjoy learning from and collaborating with a diverse, talented team and mentoring junior team members
Qualifications:
Required:
- Strong understanding of modern development practices and secure coding principles (development experience with Javascript and Python preferred)
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Static and Dynamic Code Analysis tools
- Knowledge of AWS technologies like S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, RDS, and the security implications of such technologies
Preferred:
- Solid understanding of Identity and Access Management concepts in custom-developed applications
- Software Development experience, including developing or supporting web applications and microservice architectures
- Previous Red Team / Blue Team experience
- Experience building or operating a bug bounty program
