Description
This position is for a software application team lead in the Development Process and Tools (DPT) section within Caterpillar's Integrated Components and Solutions Division. The DPT section serves thousands of global users by providing software processes and tools for internal and external use.
Job Duties
Leading a cross functional global team developing and supporting a desktop application.
Planning, coordinating, and tracking global team activities.
Defining and documenting application requirements.
Reviewing test activities and results, assisting in testing as necessary.
Coordinating and scheduling process partner activities to achieve specified objectives.
Creating and maintaining application training documentation.
Training team members and application users.
Providing application troubleshooting, debugging, and support.
Providing regular status updates.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an accredited Computer Science or Engineering curriculum.
At least 8 years software development experience.
Proven experience developing software applications.
Self-directed with strong technical leadership skills.
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate technical information effectively.
Top Candidates will also have
Experience in C# programming.
Experience with SQL databases.
Knowledge of object-oriented software and databases.
Knowledge of cybersecurity security practices.
Familiarity with Caterpillar software development processes and IT infrastructure.
Additional Information
The location for this position is Mossville, IL
Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position
This position will require less than 10% travel
