Application Support Specialist

Requirements we’d love to see:
• Prior experience supporting Linux based applications
• Ability to research, troubleshoot, diagnose and recommend solutions to complex business or technical problems
• Ability to automate through scripting and configuration management with Bash and similar scripting languages
• Capture metrics regarding performance and capacity, stability, and value that drive decisions
• Must be a United States Citizen due to government contracts
Preferred requirements we’d like to see
• Can solve technical problems at various levels of difficulty and document the process and resolution
• Drive innovations and performance improvements
• Create tools and automation to help support and monitor applications
• Monitoring of application performance and environmental uptime.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or equivalent experience
Impact you’ll make:
• In the first 90 days – you will train on the applications our team supports with experienced team members. Increasing your knowledge, so that you are able to work more independently. Using your trouble shooting skills to solve software or application issues
• Beyond 90 days – Continue to train on the applications, but able to support most of the applications independently with help from your team. Start to identify issues and coordinate with the correct groups to help resolve problems. Help in capture metrics regarding performance, capacity, and stability. Providing recommendations for the best user experiences and product enhancements.
