The Associate Engineer is responsible for assisting the site and End-User Computing (EUC) Manager, in maintaining the day to-day IT operations of the corporate office. The associate is expected to provide support for all Microsoft and Apple desktops/laptops/VDIs/mobile devices, setting up new equipment, installing software, device maintenance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and developing process and procedures. The Associate Engineer will participate in desktop/mobile related projects for Chicago’s Corporate and remote offices. This person must exhibit task and time management skills, oral and written communication skills, technical expertise, and dedication to resolve problems effectively and efficiently minimizing disruptions.
What we’ll bring:
Work in a multi-disciplinary team to provide day to day technology production support and support for technology projects
Production support to include problems resolution, technology moves, new user’s configuration, hardware, build and operate functions, operating systems, application support, desktops/laptops roll-outs, id administration, etc.
Providing shift cover from Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm. The nature of the business means there can be times throughout the year when weekend and night work is required
Maintain end users’ desktop experience
Executive Support
Provide an extremely high level of customer service
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science related discipline or equivalent and
2+ years of experience as a lead desktop technician
CompTIA A+ Certification
Apple ACMT Certification
We’d love to see:
Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, and group policies.
Highly developed analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems using a methodical systemic approach.
Knowledge and demonstrated use of scripting.
Exceptional communication, organization/planning, interpersonal, and customer service, support and response skills.
Experience with video conferencing such as Polycom, Business Skype
