Department OverviewSoftware Deployment and Integration (SD&I) is a group that delivers solutions to the public safety sector. The group is committed to providing technology and tools which will allow customers to focus on their mission, and enable them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. SD&I deploys and supports products such as Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management Systems (RMS), Jail Management Systems and Mobile Data Computing, among other offerings. The Interface Team is responsible for building interfaces between Motorola Solutions, Inc. (MSI) products and third party applications.
Job Description

This Software Engineering position will be a member of the team that develops interfaces between Motorola's products and third party products. Build and maintain interfaces between Motorola products and third party applications. Develop and test software interfaces between MSI products (CAD, RMS, Real Time Command & Control, and Analytics) and a variety of 3rd party systems systems as required to meet customer requirements defined by solution architects. Interfaces are developed using an Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) architecture with adapters to 3rd party and MSI systems and a transformation layer that includes field mapping, filtering, triggering, and business logic. Interfaces are implemented using a variety of technologies, including Java, Javascript, C#, and SQL queries.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree with at least 3 years of software development experience
Experience with .Net Framework, C#, WCF, and SQL Server, Java, Javascript, Typescript. Knowledge of XML, XSLT, and XSD.
Knowledge of Git for source control is desired.
Background in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Microsoft SQL Server 2014/2016 - desired
Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS and Google cloud.
Experience with Agile Software Development practices is also desirable.
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

Basic Requirements
