Description
As the ICS HMi software engineer, you will be responsible for developing UI/UX display software for the Energy and Transportation applications. In this job role, you will develop multiple complex Human Machine Interface (HMi) applications (eg diesel & gas engines, complex site solutions and other applications) interacting with clients and customers on a global team. You will solve complex and challenging user interface issues, integrate with multiple datalink protocols (CDL, J1939, modbus and CDA) and support the team to achieve superior quality using BIQ lean principals.
Job Duties
Design intuitive UI/UX applications for Energy and Transportation segments
Develop library widgets for reuse across the software platform
Enhance onboard Core HMi studio configuration tool features enabling dealers to custom the application to the customers' requirements
Support E&T projects which improve critical business growth beyond core projects, that drive financial results and project plans
Communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units
Participate in design review, deep dives and GWs for NPI and CPI projects
Collaborate with and support other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, customers, and suppliers.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an accredited Electrical/Software Engineering or computer science
3 - 5 years of relevant work software development experience
Experience in developing Human Machine Interfaces (HMi)
Experience with Software testing and Development processes
Experience with Java and HTML5
Experience/ familiarity with embedded software algorithms and controls
Top Candidates will also have
Superior attention to detail
Team player able to prioritize multi tasks & priorities
Experience with CAT ET, Cadet, CANape and Modsim
Experience with datalink protocols: CDL, J1939 and Modbus (RS485 and TCP-IP)
Experience with Java technologies and frameworks, C++
Experience with OS: Linux (Ubuntu, Debian)
Experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud services
Experience with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and Javascript
Experience with GIT and Ivy
Strong analytical skills
Proven abilities to work with internal teams and external suppliers
Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Additional Information
The location for this position is Mossville, IL or Houston, TX
Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
This position may require less than 10% travel
