By building a super app, our goal is to be the one stop shop for everything related to food.

What You’ll be Doing

• Providing the DevOps mindset and function for our Data Organization
• Building, maintaining, and securing data pipelines on a cloud-based data platform with next generation technologies (Databricks, Confluent, etc.)
• Setting the gold standard for data infrastructure architecture at Chowbus
• Working closely with our Data Org as well as DevOps to set best practices in infrastructure, observability, security

What You Must Have

• 3 to 5+ years maintaining and operating data platforms, data pipelines, data assets
• Knowledge/experience with Cloud-based Data Lakes (eg Snowflake, Hive, Presto)
• Experience with ETL scheduling and dependency mgmt (eg Airflow, Azkaban, Luigi)
• Experience with event messaging and streaming (eg. Kafka, Kinesis)
• Know-how with Big Data cluster creation and monitoring (eg Spark, EMR, Databricks)
• Ability to automate source code/configuration management (Git, Jenkins, etc.)
• Understanding of industry best practices to secure PII sensitive data
• Production experience and a moderate comfort level with at least one programming language (preferably Python)

What You Should Also Have

• 2+ years working with Infrastructure as Code or Cloud Orchestration/Configuration tools like Terraform, AWS Cloudformation, AWS CDK, Ansible, Chef, Puppet
• Experience on a rotating or permanent 24/7 on-call rotation
