Our team of technologists, data scientists and fintech veterans develops proprietary decision algorithms that look beyond a traditional credit score to more accurately assess a person’s true ability and willingness to repay. This next-generation approach to lending is reducing credit barriers and creating a Path to Prime to help the 43% of U.S. adults with non-prime credit reduce their cost of borrowing, build credit history, and achieve better financial outcomes.

The Role:

Our technology team in Chicago is looking for a DevOps Engineer with one to three years experience and a background in networking to help support and extend our platform for our rapidly growing lending businesses. We are seeking candidates who want to be part of an exciting and challenging technology team in a startup atmosphere.

Primary Responsibilities

• Utilize prior networking knowledge to work collaboratively with the engineering team in building and supporting systems in AWS using contemporary technology like ECS/ECR, Postgres RDS, EC2, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudFront, ELB/ALB, S3 and more.
• Build and maintain fully automated CI/CD pipelines for systems and software deployments, including infrastructure configuration, testing automation and deployment automation.
• Monitor and support production infrastructure.
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement these.
• Help in implementing security, disaster recovery and redundancy strategies.
• Assist and support developers with infrastructure requests.
• Stay up to date with tools, trends, and technologies in the FinTech space.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
• 1+ years’ relevant hands-on experience in a networking role for production systems
• Experience supporting environments in AWS
• Scripting skills in various languages (Python, Bash, etc)
• Experience with Git
• Familiarity with Docker
• Ability to thrive in startup environment with less structure than more established company
