Description
As an ICS Core HMI software architect and application team lead, you will be responsible for defining the Core HMi (Human Machine Interface) platform strategy and Cention Blue Recipe "paralleling' HMi requirements/system integration. In the software architecture role, you will work with the development team to implement CAT ICS development tools, software reviews, and code optimization. In the application lead job role, you will responsible for developing user friendly & intuitive Human Machine Interface (HMi) interacting with clients and customers on a global team. You will solve complex and challenging user interface issues and support the team to achieve superior quality using BIQ lean principals.
Job Duties
Maintain and enhance the Core HMi software architecture and identify & prioritize improvements to further enhance the software platform.
Enhance Core HMi platform processes, development tools, and define platform strategy
Develop application requirements for use across the software platform
Support E&T projects which improve critical business growth beyond core projects, that drive financial results and project plans
Design intuitive UI/UX applications for Energy and Transportation segments
Lead system level and display component FMEA activities to ensure quality product integration.
Communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units
Participate in design review, deep dives and GWs for NPI and CPI projects
Collaborate with and support other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, customers, and suppliers.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an accredited Electrical/Software Engineering or computer science
7 - 10 years of relevant work software development experience
Expert CAT software ecosphere: GIT, software build process, compilers, debuggers, code optimization, python scripting
Solid knowledge of web stack development: HTLM5, CSS, Javascript
Solid knowledge of DevOps Architecture
Experience in developing Human Machine Interfaces (HMi)
Experience with Software testing and Development processes
Experience with datalink protocols: CDL, J1939 and Modbus (RS485 and TCP-IP)
Experience with datalink troubleshooting tools such as CAT ET, Canalyzer, CANape, Modsim, Wireshark
Top Candidates will also have
Solid knowledge of backend frame works: MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, AngularJS, and Node.js), and LAMP stack (Apache, MySQL, and PHP)
Knowledgeable of relational databases, NoSQL databases
Knowledgeable of JSON (JavaScript Object Notation)
Knowledgeable of asynchronous architecture patterns
Knowledgeable of EMCP4.4 paralleling features
Experience with Java technologies and frameworks, C++
Experience with OS: Linux (Ubuntu, Debian)
Active Learner with Superior attention to detail
Proven abilities to work with internal teams and external suppliers
Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills

The location for this position is Mossville, IL or Houston, TX
