Description
An embedded controls/software team lead is needed in the Core Engine Controls & Software section at Caterpillar. This candidate will be responsible for leading a team in the design, development, and verification of diesel engine emission control strategies in an embedded system environment and in the development of engine plant models used for software validation. The candidate will be equipped with the latest MathWorks tools and solve leading edge technology problems to further reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help reach Caterpillar's sustainability goals.
Job Duties
Develop initial concepts and requirements for diesel engine control strategies
Design and develop engine control strategies using MathWorks Simulink and Stateflow in an embedded system environment
Generate c-code with MathWorks autocode generator
Verify algorithm behavior via simulation and in an embedded system environment
Perform design and code reviews
Troubleshoot issues
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering required
At least 8 years of job-related experience
Top Candidates will also have
MS EE/ME with a Control System emphasis
Experience developing electronic engine controls
Proficient with MathWorks suite of tools
Working knowledge of Vector's data acquisition tools
Demonstrated strong initiative

The location for this position is Mossville, IL
