Job Description:
JOB PURPOSE: Direct and participate in efforts to develop, integrate or test complex autonomy systems that meet prioritized requirements and time frame constraints for autonomous machine programs that focus on machine safety and productivity and provide a differentiated product value to our customers.
JOB DUTIES: Will develop technical expertise in embedded software development processes, tools and architecture. Will set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements Will design embedded systems software and be the Owner, technical lead, and subject matter expert for Ubuntu/Linux based operating systems including leading the design, development, debugging, releasing, and documentation of the Ubuntu/Linux based operating system software and documentation of embedded platform security software. Will develop middleware autonomous applications and software training materials, troubleshoot machine field issues and provide training as required.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
Basic Requirement:
Requires ten (10) years of progressive experience in C++ software design, development, debugging, releasing, and documentation including ten (10) years of experience in Ubuntu/Linux operating system software; Embedded platform security software design, Ubuntu/Linux based middleware software design development, debugging, releasing, and documentation and troubleshooting of middleware issues running on machines and Software development for autonomous (self-driving) machines.
