As an Engineer with the Advanced Power Products Group, you will have the opportunity to direct and contribute to the concept, development, and design of complex components, subsystems, or processes while strengthening your analytical skills and mastery of engineering concepts. You will partner with and provide technical guidance to global teams. You will contribute to the planning and delivery of projects, continually learn and stay abreast of innovative technology and broaden your professional network. This position is for the Hybrid Power Systems Team, with responsibility for the development of Battery Energy Storage Systems.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Develop testing procedures for advanced Battery Energy Storage Systems
- Perform complex analysis work, identify, and solve challenging problems
- Create and deliver technical reports
- Communicate technical information to customers and internal technical leadership and management
- Collaborate with a global team across multiple functional areas
- Perform work in accordance with ISO 17025 processes
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/Technology from an accredited curriculum
- 3 -5 years of experience in Electrification requirements management, product or facility development
- Experience with electrical product testing and/or facility engineering
- Self-starter with aptitude for developing clear & complete technical requirements
- Strong communication skills - Oral and written complemented by the ability to develop/deliver technical presentation
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
- Proficiency with power systems validation and using common validation lab equipment such as oscilloscope, power meter and data acquisition system
- Relevant industry or academic experience with focus on battery energy storage systems
- The ability to work/lead multiple projects simultaneously and to make sound priority decisions
Additional Information:
- The location for this position is Mossville, IL.
- This position may require up to 20% travel.
