As a Full Stack Technology Lead, you are a key member of Motorola Solutions’ Digital Transformation IT team for the implementation of a global cloud based eCommerce platform. You will be responsible for managing the design, development and support of our digital application ecosystem. You will lead a talented team of developers to understand required business outcomes, implement requirements and provide technical advisory and solution delivery for the deployment of a corporate-wide Digital Platform, including content management, eCommerce and self service.
Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations
Direct aspects of Solution Implementations based off of IT Department and business needs related to Content Management, eCommerce and custom front end applications
Architect, design & lead developers to implement next-generation applications using development best practices in the latest technologies
Partner with architects to provide solutions that are scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with evolving business requirements and architectural vision
Lead and provide technical solutions that can be configured in our digital platform, and provide outside in thinking to propose alternative solutions where a fit in the existing solution is not optimal
Design and develop secure and highly performing web applications with REST based integrations to back office applications
Lead and drive configuration of all design, development, and deployment associated with assigned topics, including all technical configuration settings, administration settings, and provide overall platform domain expertise
Participate in solution and design discussions with team members and build consensus around how to deliver the solutions iteratively, and minimize the amount of work required to deliver the intended value
Ensure adherence to quality standards and technical reviews for all deliverables
Become an evangelist for the tools and technologies that we implement to enable easier adoption by developers/users
Guide and monitor support teams in case of any production issues.
Help team plan and execute each sprint and assist with impediments to the sprint goal, and in identifying ways to unblock tasks as needed
Support product owners from a technical perspective to create well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria that meet the team’s definition of sprint-ready, and are good enough to begin work
Experience with designing and implementing large scale solutions. Works with key stakeholders to design complex solutions and lead from inception to production
Subject Matter Expert for scrum teams, ensuring that team members deliver quality code to meet business expectations
Ability to lead and mentor developers
Develops and maintains complex API interfaces with a focus on user experience
Proven track in leading web application design and development
Practitioner of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, LeSS) and familiarity with change management tools (preferably Jira)
Performs technical design, coding with test automation, support, and documentation of software application modifications
Should have executed projects with an onsite/offshore model
Ability to create technical documentation (including design/architectural diagrams, requirements, designs, and user story documentation of overall business solution)
Ensures quality code is delivered by recommending and enforcing best coding design patterns and practices, continuous integration, development, and testing
Experience in troubleshooting and documenting issues, gaps, and resolutions
Creates and maintains DevOps processes, application infrastructure and cloud services
Hands-on experience with Java, HTML5, RESTful web services, Python, Typescript, JSON, CSS and XML
Experience with microservices architecture and microservices design patterns
Experience in a scaled Agile environment, preferably SAFe and DevOps experience required
Delivery (CI/CD) best practices and DevOps to production using Jenkins, git, bitbucket or similar toolsets
Hands-on experience of writing Python scripts for various interfaces
Experience with writing SQL queries and connecting to backend databases
Experience with AWS technologies and Services like Lambda, S3, RDS is a plus
Development of Native or Hybrid Mobile apps using Cordova is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or MIS from an accredited university
