Job Description
Must be able to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.
Experience and solid understanding in wireless devices certification process.
Solid understanding of at least one wireless technology including IEEE 802.11, Bluetooth, or similar technologies.
Understanding of applicable worldwide Regulatory standards in relation to our products and requirements to carry a product to certification is a plus.
Experience with RF lab equipment.
Strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to multitask across various disciplines and tasks.
Application of DOE (Design of Experiments)
Application of FEMA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)
Proven problem solving and analytical skills
Experience performing reliability testing including Mechanical Stress Test, Shock/Drop/Vibration Testing, and Environmental testing
Experience testing Video, Wi-Fi, and GPS interfaces with working knowledge of TCP/IP.
Familiar with Linux OS, Python, or Perl scripting. Ability to write basic SQL queries is desirable.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, specifications, tolerance analyses, circuit board layouts and technical drawings.
Knowledge of battery and energy products required with ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
Detailed knowledge of regulatory standards and requirements for Telecommunications equipment including but not limited to EMC, EMI, RF, Safety, and Energy Efficiency regulations.
Ability to follow complex and documented administrative and technical processes
Problem solving, organizational, multitasking and prioritization skills a must
Excellent oral and written communication as well as program management skills
Must be able to engage with all levels of management
Self-motivated and able to coordinate global meetings with various engineering, and product safety and regulatory compliance team members
Manage regulatory approval processes in coordination with internal compliance team, external regional compliance testing, and regulatory agencies.
Develop a schedule for securing agency approvals, establish agency unit requirements.
Define RF HW, EMC, and ESD test requirements, supporting in-house test systems, debug and resolve issues, and manage the process to ensure our products conform to all applicable compliance and safety standards.
Debug root cause issues and work with system teams to drive issues to closure.
Work with vendors, technology suppliers, and cross functional staff to drive to regulatory specifications
Support the manufacturing test and manufacturing test setup.
Performs product safety reviews per internal standard operating procedures for new products under development.
Assist in the development of test & regulatory plans, strategies, and approaches for product certifications.
Performs project management duties in support of certifications. Coordinates with departmental or cross-functional teams and monitors the project from initiation into the lab through delivery of test reports.
Generates product certification documentation and maintains regulatory records.

Bachelor Degree in Engineering and 7+ years of hardware testing experience
